Best Premier League Programme Design 2016-17

Winner – Stoke City

Winner – Stoke City The design qualities of #Pottersmag are evident from the front cover, a classy collage of a player’s head with action images merged in. Inside, the fonts used and layout make the programme an enjoyable read, with some very nice design work on the double page spread that begins the main player interview, with the title in white lettering on a red background set against a black and white image of the player. Photography is well utilised, with both old and new shots, the latter largely due to the excellent work of the club photographer Phil Greig, whose work is showcased in the multi page ‘Greigy’s About’ feature. The ‘Potters Playlister’ regular uses the two Ps of the title to form a pair of earphones around a photo of the subject’s head. It’s little touches like this that raise Stoke’s issue above the competition on the design front this season.
